What's up with Christmas '06?
I can't believe it'll Christmas in a week. Goodness! Despite seeing the countdown in Char's blog I guess it just never really sank in. This is my first Christmas out of school. The first one without a Christmas break. It's so sad. =(
Anyway, I was riding the elevator with a DTI representative one day and she said that Christmas is lonely this year. I have to sadly agree with her. Lonely and Christmas shouldn't have to go together, but here are some of the reasons for that irony this year:
1. Devastation in Bicol and other regions because of supertyphoon Reming*
2. Unresolved political issues in the government
3. Cha-cha madness
4. Global warming (it is SO hot!!! It's like summer, what's up with that!)
Well I don't want to think of the sad things. Christmas should be a joyous occasion for everyone. For everyone! For all families! As my favorite 5-year-old in the world (Sammy) said this morning: The 'H' in Christmas is for happiness. "Happiness for all the kids and all the mommies and daddies and the families!!!" Since there is no 'L' in Christmas, "'I' is for I love you." (Gotta love that kid!) Christmas is such a loving time, and hopefully, love is enough to really make it count this year, especially for the devastated families.
*If anyone would like to help out with the Bicol tragedy, please contact me. A bunch of our friends are bringing donated goods to the areas hit by the storm.

yeah! christmas should be a happy time inspite of all the chaos going around us. i love that story, i forgot which war and which two countries were involved in that specifc war basta there were two countries in war, and during christmas time, they called a truce just for that night so they could celebrate and sing carols. Now, i have no idea if this is true or not or if this is a garbled version of what really happend. but still!!!! Christmas is for everyone! everyone deserves to be happy! :) and WHo is sammy?!
